Welcome to the Australian Wind Industry Forum 2025 presentation portal

This is your opportunity to share your expertise with your industry.

The Australian Wind Industry Forum is the peak gathering of leaders in onshore wind generation. The Forum is your chance to actively shape Australia’s wind energy future. The Clean Energy Council is looking for speakers to share their insights alongside industry leaders and innovators.

Whether your expertise lies in onshore wind technology, engineering, or elsewhere, we are eager to hear from you. Sessions will include dynamic discussions, exchanging of ideas, and collaboration between peers to drive progress and innovation in Australia’s wind sector.

Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase your expertise, expand your network, and play a pivotal role in Australia’s clean energy transition.

Australian Wind Industry Forum 2025 program themes:

We are calling for 12-minute presentations on the following themes:

  • Asset management eg. operating wind farm performance, maintenance, evolving safety practices, cyber-security, noise management, human resourcing for site operation, lightning protection
  • Best practice environmental mitigations in planning and operations eg. advances in bird/bat impact avoidance technology, specific measures to avoid impacts on culturally significant species.
  • De-risking grid connections & maintaining system stability
  • Early design considerations eg. early-stage wind modelling, wind resource monitoring programs (inc. LIDAR), wind flow modelling (and downstream effects), wind farm layout design, WTG and tower selection considerations
  • Jobs & skills eg. upskilling and reskilling to grow the workforce
  • Planning reforms challenges and opportunities eg. overview of state based approach, visual impact assessments, novel approaches to a successful assessment pathway, maximising federal gov regional plan for the energy transition, available pathways to reach FID to meet 2030 renewable energy targets
  • Project finance & optimising revenue
  • Recycling & decommissioning eg, repowering, recycling options, decommissioning techniques.
  • Resource measurements & modelling
  • REZ coordination eg. coordination across REZs, local content manufacturing, logistical and transport issues
  • Technology & engineering developments eg. challenges and opportunities
  • Working with host communities eg. community engagement practices, benefit sharing approaches and First Nations engagement/participation
  • Constructability eg. logistical and transport issues, complexity of contracting, blade lifter and crane availability
  • Network access eg. the future of open access and REZ design
  • Future of electricity markets in Australia eg. NEM & WEM
